We've changed how we take feedback from our community!
For a long time, we gathered all community feedback through a tool called Canny. This was like a message board that allowed people to post their requests, which other community members could then vote on. When we were starting out, this was super useful when deciding which development ideas we should prioritise.
However, over time we found that we needed a new way to discuss the future of FitXR with our community. Our own roadmap and ideas grew so much, and in a lot of cases we found we were already working on the ideas that our community submitted. Plus, where new ideas were being brought up, we've just not had enough time to dedicate to developing them.
So what are you doing now?
Now, we've changed from asking what...to asking how.
Our community, and its voice, are still vital to the development of our product. Even though we can't spare resource to taking on new ideas right now, we can ask you for feedback on the things we're already building. This is why we've introduced The FitXR Insiders Group.
What is The FitXR Insiders Group?
It's a way for our community to get a sneak preview of new features we're building, giving their opinions and feedback along the way. This means that we can still work towards the vision for FitXR that we're super excited about, while making sure the interests of our community are best represented too.
How does the group work?
The Insiders Group is run both via email and through a private Facebook group, separate to our main community one. Once you've applied for and joined the Insiders group, we'll ask you for opinions on the features we're building, and the changes we're making.
We might do that with product demonstrations, hands on experiences for you to test new features yourself, or through surveys and other written feedback methods.
If you'd like to apply for the group all you need to do is fill out this form, and then follow the instructions in your follow up welcome email.
NB: In time, once our team has grown to give us more flexibility with development, we'll start taking on new ideas from the group again.
